How Member Billing & Proration Works

Cloudairy uses per-member billing, meaning you only pay for active members on your workspace. Understanding how members are counted and how proration works helps you manage costs effectively.

What Counts as a Member?

A member is anyone with a paid seat on your workspace. This includes workspace admins, editors, and contributors. Guests, visitors, and viewers do not count as members and are free.

Adding Members Mid-Cycle

When you add a new member during a billing cycle, you are charged a prorated amount for the remainder of that cycle. For example, if you add a member halfway through the month, you pay half the monthly rate for that member.

Removing Members

When you remove a member, they retain access until the end of the current billing period. You will not be charged for that member in the next billing cycle. Prorated refunds are not issued for member removals mid-cycle.

Guests and Visitors

Visitors (Starter plan): Unlimited visitors with editing rights at no additional cost.

Guests (Business and Enterprise): Unlimited guests at no additional cost.

This means external collaborators, clients, and stakeholders can access your boards without increasing your member count or billing.
